This is a raw egg without the shell that is held together by its membrane and actually bounces like a bouncy ball. Brianna really wanted to try this experiment so we put the egg in a cup of vinegar and left it there for a couple days. After the first day we changed out the vinegar and by the morning of the 3rd day the shell came off. It was super cool, but kind of gross too ;) . . . it smelled awful . . . just sayin'

Dr. Seuss Week
Our new school has a fun Dr. Seuss Week every year and they sell these adorable "Cat in the Hat" hats. The kids were all excited that I was helping sell the hats and allowed each of them to buy one. Fun!
Microwaving Ivory Soap
A few years ago I microwaved a bar of soap for Kelsea to see and never realized the other children had never seen what happens. For our Family Home Evening activity we decided to do it again and it was so funny to watch their reactions! All you have to do is get a bar of "Ivory" soap (it has to be ivory soap because of the air it has inside of it) and then put it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. You basically watch it completely change shape and it's pretty fascinating!
