After many years of GREAT usage, it's finally time to say goodbye to our wonderful Camry. It has 206K miles on it and will cost more to repair than it is worth. We drove it to it's death and now we have sold it to someone who will probably dissect it - boo hoo!
Goodbye beautiful Camry!
(Could I really sound more pathetic? You don't understand how much I loved this car - it had SO much power and never caused us any problems. Camry's rock!)

I totally understand. I've had to get rid of 2 cars--and especially the last one I totally miss (even though it had already cost me a bundle to fix, and was only going to cost more). It had a V6 and was "sporty"--and I so miss it!!!! I see some like it and "dream"--but my new car rocks too--and will probably miss it as well (someday). So silly, sure...but cars (weirdly enough) become a member of the "family" (almost!)
I will miss your Camry too. I still look twice to see who is on our street when I see your new car drive by. And I felt the exact same way when we said good-bye to our Blazer. There's a lot of memories attached to a vehicle. Glad you sold it though!
I know how you feel. Although I didn't love driving a van, my blue Honda van just kept on chugging without a complaint. It was the first car that we ever owned that lived longer than it's payments. I passed it along to Mariasha, and she killed it in about three months. Poor van. :o(
I understand. You've bonded with your car, and sometimes it's just hard to say goodbye. I also think it's hard to realize that now you have to start paying for a car when you had previously owned it. We had to do the same thing with Tony's car a year ago. I will say that I love his new car, but not paying for it.
It is hard to say goodbye! We have gotten rid of a few of our cars because we wanted newer. With the new you should replace, but with the old there are sooo many memories. Makes me sad to think about our old cars. Will it be taken care of the same way? We only hope so!
So sad! Good for you for driving it till it no longer works. So many people have to have the newest cars and the best everything all the time. I think it's time people start being more thrifty and use their stuff that's still good until it's not good anymore.

Sad news! It's so hard to break up when they've done you so well over the years.
Okay I'm posting so you know that I regularly follow and read your blog. We said good-bye too. To our Honda. However I have not driven around the new car, feel a little bit conspicuous. Something about being showy, or something. I was just thankful we didn't buy a pt cruiser. Anyone with that kind of car must have bank!! Now that I've gotten that off my chest you may think twice about wondering aloud if I really do read your blog!! =)
For the record, though, I really can relate to what you are going through. Good-bye and thanks for the sweet times and happy memories!! (picture sappy sweet music playing in background)
