I've really felt like I needed to spend more one on one time with each of the kids so I started with Kelsea and we went on a Mother Daughter Hike. It was a lot of fun to just talk and be together. She was able to share so much with me about how she is feeling in her life right now, especially with the move and with school. While we were at the top of the ridge we watched a huge thunder and lightning storm move toward us and as we tried to get back down the mountain we felt strongly that we shouldn't wait until we could get down on our side because the lightning was too close. We ended up going down the other side and ended in the neighborhood not too far from ours. The walk back home was longer, but very enjoyable! :)
