Halloween 2010

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I LOVE fall and I love the atmosphere of fun involved with the holiday. This year the kids trick-or-treated in our neighborhood with their friends and my mom, Grandma Hall, and cousin Karli came over to hang out. We watched Ever After while we passed out candy and ate Pasta Fagioli.

My mom had a Halloween party with all of her grandchildren and the kids had a great time decorating cookies and participating in donut and pie eating contests.

We went to Jason's parent's ward Halloween Party and ate lots of soup, played games, trick-or-treated in different rooms of the building and came away full of goodies

My cousins had a couples' Halloween Party and it was a lot of fun. There was not a great turnout because many people were not able to make it that night, but we still had a great time. I love hanging out with my cousins and I wish we would do it more often!!

Kelsea's 11th Birthday

For Kelsea's 11th Birthday, we had decided to let her take a small group of friends and stay in a hotel for the night. We had contacted all of the parents and asked their permission and everyone gave the okay. We do not allow sleepovers, so this was a very rare occasion. Well, when we listened to Elder Lawrence's talk this past conference, we both felt strongly that we should not do the hotel party. Kelsea was really bummed, but felt like it was the right thing to do. We contacted all of the parents again and let them know we would not be going to a hotel. Instead, Kelsea decided to go ice skating and I must say, the girls had the time of their lives!! There was hardly anyone there and we stayed until it closed. We had cake and hot chocolate and the girls had some pretty awesome blisters as we traveled home.

On Kelsea's actual birthday, we invited all of Jason's family over to celebrate and it was a lot of fun. We played games and ate lots of goodies. Kelsea seemed to have a great birthday! :)

BYU Legends

I had the opportunity of going to BYU's first game this year and it was awesome because they had all of the Quarterback Legends there!!! Steve Young spoke in the Cougar Room before the game and said this is the first time that they have ALL been together. It was pretty cool!!

Not a great picture of my back side, but before the game I had the opportunity to climb a rock wall at the tailgate party. It was hard in my flip flops!

Steve Young and Orrin Hatch. I met Orrin Hatch and he was SO nice to talk to!!! He was so personal and completely interested! I was very impressed!

Jim McMahon carried the flag in to bring the team on the field.

All of the legends. They were each recognized, one at a time, and it was fun to watch them go and shake hands with Lavell Edwards, other general authorities and Elder Holland. I loved watching McMahon because it was so light and funny. My mom explained to me that he was against the Church and would never really come back to BYU so it was pretty cool to see him with Elder Holland.

Corbyn got his Wolf

Corbyn earned his Wolf, a gold arrow, and a silver back in July, but because we were gone for the July Pack Meeting and the August Pack Meeting, he didn't actually receive the awards until September. He was SO excited! Jason's parents and my mom came to support him :)

First Day of School

I posted these on FB, but forgot to do it here. This was the first day of school for my kids and they were all very excited to start!

Earrings

Brianna took out her studs and this was the first time with new earrings. She was nervous to take out her studs, but she was really excited to wear different earrings.

Boxed Baby

This is what happens when you let the kids play with Keira. She couldn't get out, but she sure was happy :)
