New Painting

At the risk of being obnoxious, please indulge me in my excitement of just receiving my first, real, oil painting. Jason and I purchased it last night from some artists that are trying to start an Art Gallery on the West Coast. It was just so perfect for my house and looks amazing on the wall. We have never purchased art before, but we both felt good about this find!

(This picture doesn't do it justice, and we do not have it framed yet, but you get the idea)

Cool painting. Did you buy it from the guys going door to door? We didn't even look at what they had? We're lame.

Mindi,

For being fairly new to blogging, you sure seem like a pro. I love your background and header. I still have to figure out how to do a header. I've been on here several times but never left a message. It is nice to meet you, in the blogging world. (I'm Jay's wife.) You always leave such sweet comments on my blog, so I thought it was high time to leave a comment for you.

Your family seems so sweet. That is the one thing I miss the most living away from UT. My family.

I am very impressed you bought an oil painting. I haven't attempted that one yet. It looks fun! I like fun contemporary.

Have fun reading The Book Thief! It's sad but it makes you so grateful for what you have and the author has a good balance of sad and funny to make it a plesant read.

Digital scrapbooking is so dang cool! Its easy and very cost effective. If you are truely interested my friend is having a creative memories demo on the 20th at 2. (thats what I use) No pressure to buy but you can come see whats out there. You are more than welcome to come with me. Maybe I should do another demo at my haouse. It seems that there are a couple ladies interested in our neighborhood.
