Polar Express

My dear friend, Cheri Hardman, invited our family to come and ride her family's Polar Express train at the beginning of December.  We scheduled a day that Jason would be home so that we could all go together.  It was such a wonderful experience!  I was expecting it to be a fun, cutsie, train ride with lots of holiday characters and motif, but instead it was a special spiritual experience. The first half of the ride has all the fun holiday things for the kids to ooo and ahh at and then we stopped at the North Pole to see Santa.  Inside the house each of the kids was able to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.  After that, Santa got up and talked to all of us about the real meaning of Christmas and basically bore his testimony about the Savior.  It was so cool. We then boarded the train again and the last half of the ride took us through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  It was very touching and I tried not to tear up, but I couldn't help it.  We all had a wonderful time and I am so thankful we were invited to go! Thanks Cheri!!
